@douglasawh Indeed. In fact, I found identica’s pivotal role made it tougher on those of us using other instances. Users unaware of #federation, easily annoyed by “quirks” thereof.

@douglasawh I don’t think #PumpIO is bad even at this early stage. Different, but not bad. I’m hoping that this shift will help many realize the value of #federation and self-control.

@rysiek AFAIK this feature is disabled on #identi.ca, because it’s too resource intensive for a large user base. might ask @evan about it to get a clear answer. the solution is probably #federation :)

@rysiek I think that feature is disabled due to traffic load (many !identica users + replies + mentions etc…) OTOH boosting #federation
