Looks to be the #fragdev gunmonkey.

but that’s the outdated monkey.

It should go to them all, no?

Nope. A notice is only ever directed at one person sharing the name. What logic it uses to decide which one, I have no clue.

@nybill I suspect it is the 1st instance of that name in the sender’s site’s db

Although @jezra argues (rightly) that my avatar is a Chimpanzee… Gunmonkey is the name they gave me way back when. No going back now. ;)

I don’t think that’s it either. @nybill@identi.ca was in my db first but the initial went to fragdev. It is magic. ;)

But wait, @windigo told me the names are just a string, you can change them. Your real name is some OStatus (I assume) hash.

@lnxwalt yes. That I’ve seen

It’s not a hash, it’s just a URL; for instance, I think I’m http://micro.fragdev.com/user/1 or something like that.

But yeah, your username can change completely and not affect the system in the least. :)

@lnxwalt I had a feeling that it was also somehow tied to your subscriptions, and possibly in what order you subscribed… but I’m not sure.

Oh ok. I just figured it would be more encrypted than that.
